The Junior Filmmakers Initiative is a program aimed at introducing school aged students to the world of filmmaking. Launched in mid-January 2013 by La Scène Media Group in partnership with MechKW Design and Communities in Schools-Forsyth County, the program provides young students with the opportunity to learn about the several aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and editing. Through hands-on instruction and use of state-of-the-art equipment, participants will have the chance to explore their creativity and develop their storytelling skills. The pilot program was held at Kimberley Park, a school located in a low-income neighborhood, which is providing these kids with a chance to explore their potential and unleash their talents.
